Order Form

When you purchase a vehicle, one of the last things that will happen is the dealer will draw up an order form. The order form is the written outline of the agreement between the buyer and the dealer as to the terms of the purchase.

The order form is a document that you need to read carefully. Make sure that everything in the order form is something that you agreed to. Make sure that the dealer did not tack on any added benefits that you were not prepared, or willing, to pay for.

If you see a mistake on the order form, do not sign it. Make sure that the dealer changes the wording so that all of the terms and conditions are the ones you want to agree with. This is an extremely important part of the car buying process, because if you sign your name to the order form, it becomes binding, even if it wasn't what you thought it was.
